With the advent of Steam becoming available to Mac users, Portal is now free! A no-brainer for most people as free is the correct price for most games; Portal is well worth the money that people paid to own this great game prior. ACII promises to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor while smoothing out its many rough edges. Does this tale of parallel narratives manage to climb to new heights or does it trip over its own ambitions?
Supreme Commander, the successor to the exceptional game Total Annihilation, is the child of video game designer Chris Taylor. Following along the same path as Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander is a Real Time Strategy game (R.T.S.) featuring a futuristic world in which war is rampart, worlds are destroyed and giant robots blow up. Can Supreme Commander live up to its predecessor or is this game an attempt to keep a dead series alive?
Just got my hands on the PC version of Assassin's Creed II and I can't wait to share my thoughts on it. Unfortunately, I've only just started the game so the review won't be up for a while but I can already say it's shaping up to be a better game than it's predecessor. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in Ubisoft’s long running stealth action series starring Michael Ironside as veteran spy Sam Fisher. The team at Ubisoft Montreal have made significant changes to the game’s trial and error formula, opting for a much faster paced action/stealth hybrid. Does this dramatic shift in style teach this old dog some new tricks, or is Splinter Cell past its prime?
Total Annihilation! For any Real Time Strategy (R.T.S.) fan, this is a must play. Along with Warcraft and StarCraft, Total Annihilation helped form the RTS genre into what it is today. With great music, great narration and a giant list of units to build or destroy, its easy to see why some people still play this game today. Read more »
